As Super Novas V.1

So Im not making time to write in this blog and I apologize. The last month consisted of work and of course celebrating the holidays of Christmas and New Year's. Christmas I worked in the morning and then went to Chinatown with my sister and brother-in-in law to meet up with my brother-in-law's family. Then it was off to the apartment where I napped for a while and then it was off to my brother-in-law's familys house where I recieved a gift from his parents. The gift was Marshall Field's chocolates and a matter of fact I finally finished the box a couple days ago. They tasted awesome. When I got back to the apartment the second time to go to sleep I got some dishes and stuff from my sister and brother-in-law so I would have some when I move out in February. The only other gift I recieved were a dvd of Ivete Sangalo and Ivete Sangalo's new cd from my greatest friends in Brasil, whom I miss so much, Wellington, Ze, Ju, and surprisingly Camila. Many text messages were sent back and forth that day and a couple of e-cards sent to me as well. New Year's consisted again of work and no partying for me that night because I was to wake up at 4am as usual. During the holidays, work was steady and flew by so fast. It wasn't too busy to me because the airline I work for is more of a business airline and not family driven. The one weirdest thing happened though last week and it goes like this. A former classmate at my old high school in Galva, Illinois came in line while I was working because she was flying to Detroit to visit here sister and it was so weird because my town is a town of about 2,500 people and not many of them get out and about and I hadn't seen her in like four years, when I was a senior in high school. She was so amazed that I remembered her and she hangs out with my old classmates all the time in Galva and they just so happened to ask about me and had a conversation about me because they were so proud of me for getting out of the armpit, small town of Galva and they still haven't done so. Now that I'm consistently working at the front counter many of of passengers that travel all the time remember and ask for me to help them because I am so kind to them. Of course not all my days are easy, sometimes the f bomb is released and I am blamed for their mistakes so I let it go in one ear and out the other. Luggage Service was finally taught to me and I hate it with a passion because during the holidays it is busy and delays and cancellations happen so we have to sort through hundreds of bags a day and ship them to where they are suppose to be. The airline spends so much shipping on these bags that I might just want to start a delivery service with them. Other than that, life is life and work is work. Im doing good and can't wait to take my trip to Orlando on the 17th of this month. I hope to see old friends and meet new ones. Maybe get to know the brazilians there who will have like four days left of their internship before they head back because some of my Brazilian friends friends work there and they want to meet me. Today was a boring one. The ignorant managers of mine don't know how to sign a piece a paper so again today, I learned to check in luggage. I will have some good hours waking up in the morning and being done as early as 10am. I finally met my manager Paul Parkevopopulus or something of that nature. Checking in luggage is such a breeze and I hope to learn some new tomorrow. I got a tour from our morning QSA Miko, she's pretty nice. I went all around the airport to the NWA World Club, Ground Operations, the bank, and even the post office. It was a break from the boredom of the slow day of tagging luggage. I hear tomorrow is going to be hell and if the snow comes that's why. We will be short-handed and I will have to put my training to work and hope I have no questions because I will check people in and such on my own. Still haven't learned the boarding bridge! Im kind of glad because its the most common money loss of the company because if you don't position it correctly you can lose a sensor off the plane or damage the aircraft door. Im looking forward to the holidays and Im excited that it will be busy. I hope to find another job preferably full-time so I can make even more money so I can save and get back to warm, sunny Florida. Today I rode the bus to the mall from work and went by the Disney Store wishing I was with all my Disney family in Florida at WDW. I can't stand my NWA family because maybe they are at an average age of 30 years older than me and we just don't have much in common. Some do not like me already only because Im getting better days off and hours than them when they've been with the company for 20+ years and me only two days. Maybe, not to say Im full of myself, they know Im a hard worker by my trainer and test results. Who knows. Well off to bed so I can wake up tomorrow at 5am and finish the day at 2pm. Who knows maybe I'll work on the Basketball skills at the RecPlex but now Im signing out. Later!

So not much to say. I got a job at Northwest Airlines and have been traveling to Minneapolis and Chicago for the past two weeks. I have to go one more time to stay in a hotel for two weeks and start training. If all goes well it looks as though by June I could transfer south to Florida or somewhere. It started to snow but it did not stay. I can't stand cold weather anymore, its kind of sad. Well its been almost two months without any social contact in person with my friends. I sit around the computer all day long and scan pictures. I hope to get this job going so I can travel for free and start visting friends. That's about it.

Finally the best break through since I started my job hunt. United Airlines may have not called me back but I just recieved a conformation email from Northwest Airlines. I will take a interview to the Northwest Airlines Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I will interview to do marketing work and customer service work. If I receive any of these positions I will start out at $20 dollars an hour and it seems as though they are interested in me because they are flying me for free to Minnesota. My first official business trip! I'm so excited and hope to get the job by the end of the week. Wish me luck, because I would love to get the job. Everything else the same. The Weather was in the mid 60's the other day but back down in the 50's and I'm still not use to it. My San Francisco 49er's won their second game of the season against a perennial playoff team the Tampa Bay Bucaneers so that was pretty fun news yesterday. Don't foget the Utah Jazz start their season on Wednesday too. The Jazz started out strong last year but fell below 500 for the first time since Karl Malone and John Stockton joined the team back in the 1980's. Injuries were the biggest factor, but now they are a young team with less injuries to happen and though they maybe young, watch out for them. They may surprise the NBA analysts this season.

White Sox Win World Series!
What happened to the Astros? They didn't win a single game so it was a "Sweep home Chicago." They did put up four fantastic fights but they just couldn't get the W. Well things are the same but I got a call back from the Disney Store. Its a job and it pays good. I would do some marketing with them if I get the job. Other than that, that's about it.
